Breezaire WKCE 2200 Wine Cabinet Cooling Unit
Breezaire WKCE 2200 Wine Cabinet Cooling Unit
The Breezaire WKCE 2200 is a self-contained, through-the-wall wine cooling system designed for wine cabinets, enclosed wine storage spaces, and properly constructed compact wine rooms up to 265 cubic feet. With 2,200 BTUs of cooling capacity, it provides a compact solution for maintaining controlled wine storage conditions.
The WKCE 2200 uses Breezaire's Sentry III+ digital control system for temperature adjustment and monitoring. The electronic controller includes a digital temperature display and retains stored settings following a power interruption. The system also provides automatic humidity management to support the storage environment.
Its self-contained through-the-wall design eliminates the need for a separate remote condenser and is suited to installations where a compact cooling system is preferred. The unit features vibration-control components and quiet operation, helping minimize disturbance within the wine storage area.
The WKCE 2200 requires a properly constructed wine cabinet or wine room with adequate insulation, a complete vapor barrier, a sealed storage space, sufficient airflow, and an appropriate rear exhaust area. The unit operates on 115V, 60Hz, 4A electrical service and has a listed weight of 55 lbs.

Installation Requirements
Wine Storage Considerations
The WKCE 2200 is intended for properly constructed wine cabinets and compact wine rooms. The cooling requirements of a wine storage space depend on factors beyond total cubic-foot volume, including insulation, vapor-barrier construction, glass exposure, ambient temperature, door sealing, and heat load.
- Proper Insulation: Adequate insulation is important for maintaining the desired wine storage environment.
- Complete Vapor Barrier: A complete vapor barrier should be incorporated into the wine storage space.
- Sealed Storage Space: The wine cabinet or room should be properly sealed.
- Rear Exhaust Area: Because the WKCE 2200 uses rear exhaust, sufficient space and airflow must be provided behind the unit.
- Glass Exposure: Significant glass exposure can increase the cooling load.
- Ambient Conditions: Extreme temperature conditions can affect cooling performance.
Sentry III+ Digital Control System
The Sentry III+ electronic control system provides temperature adjustment and digital monitoring for the WKCE 2200. The digital display makes the current temperature easier to monitor, while the controller retains stored settings following a power interruption.
The controller also provides blocked-airflow protection to help identify airflow restrictions that may affect system performance.
Optional Bottle Probe
The optional Breezaire Bottle Probe is designed to measure wine temperature more directly rather than relying solely on surrounding air temperature. This provides an additional method of monitoring temperature within the wine storage environment.
