Breezaire WKL 4000 Wine Cellar Cooling Unit
Breezaire WKL 4000 Wine Cellar Cooling Unit
The Breezaire WKL 4000 is a self-contained, through-the-wall wine cellar cooling system designed for properly insulated wine cellars up to 1,000 cubic feet. With 4,000 BTU of cooling output, it is designed for medium-to-large residential wine cellars where a self-contained cooling system is preferred over a split system.
The WKL 4000 provides an adjustable temperature range of 48–63°F and features automatic humidity control. Electronic controls and an LED digital display allow the cellar temperature to be monitored and adjusted, while the automatic defrost system helps manage frost accumulation during operation.
Its through-the-wall installation places the cooling unit directly through the cellar wall, with the standard configuration exhausting hot air through the rear of the unit. This configuration eliminates the need for a separate remote condenser and refrigerant-line installation. Optional factory modifications are available for applications requiring alternate exhaust or power-cord routing.
The WKL 4000 measures 19.75" H × 14.25" W × 21.63" D, weighs 81 lbs., and operates on 115V / 60Hz / 7A. Proper cellar insulation, vapor-barrier construction, sealed penetrations, and adequate ventilation in the exhaust area are important for proper operation.

Installation Requirements
Cellar Size Guidance
Actual cooling requirements depend on factors including insulation quality, vapor-barrier construction, ceiling height, ambient temperature, glass exposure, and door construction. The exhaust area should also provide sufficient space for heat dissipation.
Optional Factory Modifications
Important: Factory modifications are special-order configurations and may add production time. Modified units are non-returnable and cannot be canceled once manufactured.
Optional Bottle Probe
The optional Breezaire Bottle Probe monitors the temperature of the liquid inside a wine bottle rather than only measuring the surrounding air. The bottle probe is compatible with Breezaire WKL, WKE, and WKC series cooling units.
Replacement Compatibility
Warranty
The Breezaire WKL 4000 includes a 1-year labor warranty and 5-year parts warranty according to the manufacturer's listed specifications.
