Breezaire WKL 6000 Wine Cellar Cooling Unit
Breezaire WKL 6000 Wine Cellar Cooling Unit
The Breezaire WKL 6000 is a self-contained, through-the-wall wine cellar cooling system designed for properly insulated wine cellars up to 1,500 cubic feet. With 6,000 BTU of cooling capacity, it is suited for large residential wine rooms, commercial wine storage areas, and long-term wine aging environments.
The WKL 6000 features Breezaire's Sentry III Plus digital controller, which provides electronic temperature control and an LED digital temperature display. The system maintains a specified temperature range of 50–60°F and includes automatic humidity control, automatic defrost, power-outage protection, and blocked-airflow protection.
Its self-contained, through-the-wall configuration keeps the cooling components in a single cabinet and does not require a separate outdoor condenser. The standard configuration exhausts warm air through the rear of the unit, while optional factory modifications are available for applications requiring top exhaust or alternate power-cord routing.
The WKL 6000 measures 22" H × 16.25" W × 22.25" D, weighs 101 lbs., and operates on 115V / 60Hz / 9.5A electrical service. Proper insulation, a vapor barrier, a sealed cellar, and unrestricted exhaust airflow are required for proper operation.

Installation Requirements
Wine Cellar Sizing Considerations
The WKL 6000 is rated for properly insulated wine cellars up to approximately 1,500 cubic feet. Actual cooling requirements depend on more than cellar volume. Insulation quality, glass exposure, ceiling height, cellar location, ambient temperature, and other heat loads should be considered when sizing a cooling system.
Optional Factory Modifications
Important: Factory-modified units are special orders and may require additional production time. Breezaire states that modified units cannot be returned or canceled once manufactured.
Optional Bottle Probe
The optional Breezaire Bottle Probe measures the temperature of the liquid inside a wine bottle rather than only monitoring the surrounding cellar air. Breezaire identifies the probe as compatible with WKL, WKE, and WKC series cooling units.
Warranty
The Breezaire WKL 6000 includes a 1-year labor warranty and 5-year parts warranty according to the manufacturer's listed specifications.
