The Whynter BWR-1642DZ 164-Bottle Wine Refrigerator is a large-capacity wine storage system designed for collections of up to 164 standard 750 ml wine bottles. With 15.1 cu. ft. of cabinet storage and two independently controlled temperature zones, it provides dedicated storage for different wine varietals while offering either built-in or freestanding installation.

The BWR-1642DZ uses compressor cooling with internal fan-forced circulation to distribute temperature throughout the cabinet. Both zones have adjustable thermostats covering 40–65°F (5–18°C), with Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature indicators. The upper zone accommodates up to 86 bottles, while the lower zone accommodates up to 78 bottles.

The refrigerator features double-pane glass doors designed to provide UV isolation, along with a stainless steel finish and curved handlebar. The reversible door swing provides installation flexibility, while a cylinder security lock and two keys provide a way to secure the wine collection. An interior lighting strip with nine soft-white LED bulbs illuminates the cabinet.

Inside, the BWR-1642DZ includes 15 removable wooden flat slide-out shelves and a display shelf for showcasing bottles or storing open bottles. An activated carbon filter helps address odors, while the refrigerator's 23.5-inch width allows it to fit within a standard 24-inch-wide installation space. The unit measures 69.75 inches high, 23.5 inches wide, and 26.5 inches deep, or 28.5 inches deep with the handle installed.
